Solo Exhibition Open Call

The exhibition will run from December 7 to January 18, 2025. The selected artist will receive a budget of $500 for exhibition-related expenses, professional documentation, an opening reception, and exhibition promotion through all of our publicity and social media channels. 

Submissions will be reviewed by TSA CHI members with whom the selected artist will work closely to prepare for their show. This will include but is not limited to studio visits, collaboration on publicity materials, and installation/deinstallation assistance. The selected artist is required to fully participate in the exhibition’s installation/deinstallation and to attend the opening reception barring extenuating circumstances. Early, mid- and late-career artists working in all disciplines are eligible to apply; artists currently enrolled in degree-granting programs are not eligible. We encourage proposals for exhibitions that will uniquely activate the space and works that may not be viable in traditional commercial markets. TSA CHI strives to build a diverse and inclusive community and artists from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Applications that do not meet the parameters will be disqualified without notification.

Please note that the $25 application fee is non-refundable. 20% of your submission fee goes toward covering our SlideRoom costs and the remainder goes toward our operating expenses as a volunteer-run non-profit art organization. • Mid Jul 2024: The selected artist and runners-up will be contacted 

• Oct 19, 2024: Exhibition Press Release & Consignment Agreement deadline

• Nov 30 - Dec 5, 2024: Installation Period

• Dec 7 - Jan 18, 2025: Exhibition Dates

• Dec 7, 1–4 pm: Opening Reception

• Jan 19 - 22, 2025: Deinstallation Period
