Solo Exhibition Open Call

Tiger Strikes Asteroid Chicago is pleased to invite Chicago-area artists to apply to our OPEN CALL for a 2025 SOLO EXHIBITION.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 27, 2025

The exhibition will run from November 8 - December 20, 2025. The selected artist will receive a budget of $250 for exhibition-related expenses, professional documentation, an opening reception, and exhibition promotion through all of our publicity and social media channels. 

Submissions will be reviewed by TSA CHI members with whom the selected artist will work closely to prepare for their show. This will include but is not limited to studio visits, collaboration on publicity materials, and installation/deinstallation assistance. The selected artist is required to fully participate in the exhibition’s installation/deinstallation and to attend the opening reception barring extenuating circumstances. Early, mid- and late-career artists working in all disciplines are eligible to apply; artists currently enrolled in degree-granting programs are not eligible. We encourage proposals for exhibitions that will uniquely activate the space and works that may not be viable in traditional commercial markets. TSA CHI strives to build a diverse and inclusive community and artists from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

We look forward to being introduced to new work by Chicago-area artists through this open call. Runner-up artists will be informed of their status. All applicants will be considered for future programming at TSA Chicago.
