Good News New York

Tiger Strikes Asteroid is pleased to present Good News New York, organized by Ethan Greenbaum, opening June 6, 6–8pm. The group exhibition takes its title from an artist's book by Matt Kenny featuring absurd and sensationalist headlines from New York's tabloid press. That same wit and inventiveness runs through the work on view, bringing together an intergenerational group of artists, cartoonists, and illustrators united by their use of the city as subject. Spanning painting, prints, and site-specific wall drawings, the work is by turns humorous, hard-nosed, and deeply affectionate.
